His selling story was: I don't want to sell, i have a gift for you and in exchange he needed some money just for the gas!
Perhaps his fuel tank was nearby empty, and he is a 'manager' with a credit card but can't use it for filling up gas.
After all I paid 60 euro's for some fake jackets with indeed are not even my size.As I felt so *** about this purchase I realize that might be the same guy that is hanging around in the US.
This guy is so sure about his business, that he also have a fake business card with address e-mail and phone number.
After reading similar cases I realize that one crook may harm everything for decent salesman.
I hope he will enjoy the 60 euro's and perhaps I will not attend his invitation for eating pasta with his family! 1296a23

2. Written by anonymous on April 16, 2012 from london, england, UK We were conned in the same way during a recent visit to Rome. Approached by guy in car near Spanish Steps. Claimed to work for Armani. Said he wanted to have 'gifts' of handbag and jacket. Then asked for 60 Euro for petrol as his card had exceeded its limit. We handed over 50. Soon realised we had been had and felt angry and foolish. But, like others have said, he is an accommplished con artist and it all happened so quickly.
3. Written by Clive and Jean on March 23, 2012 from -, -, UK We had a similar experience on March 20 in Rome near to the Vatican. A guy stopped his car and asked if we were English. He said he was a M.D. for Armani. Could we give him directions. We did and he "gave" us presents of a white "Armani" habdbag and a brown "suede" jacket. Then came the same story about his credit card being out of date and could we help him with cash, 150 Euros for petrol. We obliged and only later examined the "presents" more carefully and realised we had been duped!

6. Written by Alan- south Africa on February 10, 2012 from johannesburg, gauteng, ZA I arrived home form Rome this evening with this amazing story of this man who gave me a Jacket. Now I know it was as scam as it was dtentical to the above stories. He claimed to be French, had been to Jhb and needed petrol. It all happened so quickly I was left 30 Euro out of pocket but with a Jacket> This man is a very well practiced con artist.

8. Written by pkw on January 27, 2012 from adelaide, south australia, AU I have almost an identical story as the person in Rome with the man parked near Isola Tiberina, except we were walking around the a backstreet not far from Roma Termini He said he was from Milan, owned a Fashion Business , and was attending a Fashion Show, he even showed some Fashion catalogue with his label on it. Asked us where we were from. I said Australia, he said his wife was from Perth & he attended a Fashion show in Sydney last year, even named a Sydney Street. Because I was so nice to give him directions & his obvious connection with Australia he offered to give us free samples (only if we keep them and do not sell; he stated each is worth €800). Said they were high quality leather because his fashion label wouldn't use anything less. I thought for free! but he then said he tried to get petrol in Rome and guess what ! He said crazy Roman petrol station wouldn't accept his credit card, This guy is good!! he got €90 out of us. I sensed something was not right, so I looked up his Fashion Label (Bangjuji Fashion - Authentic Chinese synthetic leather)... but alas too late!!
